What we modeled
- A 70 MW / 140 MWh battery, co-located behind the meter with a 90 MW European solar plant.
- 90% round-trip efficiency and a usable state-of-charge window of 10% to 90%.
- Charging from solar only, with no grid charging. Grid charging is expected to add further upside.
- Day-ahead and imbalance settlement at merchant market prices.
- Battery degradation priced at €5/MWh and scaled by cycle depth, so deep cycles cost the dispatch more than shallow ones.
